EMC Filter 8A – Block HLD Series

The Block HLD 310-500/8 is a high-performance EMC filter designed to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) between electrical equipment and the mains power supply. It supports compliance with EMC regulations while improving system reliability and minimising unwanted electrical noise in industrial environments.

This filter is ideal for use with variable frequency drives (VFDs), inverters, and other power electronics where conducted interference must be controlled. It can be used as a standalone solution or installed alongside equipment with an existing internal EMC filter.

The HLD 310 series features a low leakage current design, making it particularly suitable for installations where RCD protection is used or where multiple devices are connected on the same supply.

Most modern drives, including Imoticon ID700 and Invertek Optidrive series, are fitted with internal EMC filters as standard. For many applications this provides sufficient suppression; however, where stricter EMC requirements apply, an external filter such as the HLD 310 series can be added to further reduce interference.

For best performance, the filter should be correctly matched to the application and installed as close as possible to the source of interference.
